A mermaid goes unsingle in the most fairy tale way

Last night I went to my former neighbor's wedding shower. When I got there, she dropped the news that she just got married in a secret ceremony in Bora Bora, a tiny island in French Polynesia. What a fairy tale. And where else would a mermaid marry?

She was the ultimate single girl. A party girl. And she and I agree she's at least part mermaid.

She hung out with a great group of girlfiriends. And she dated. Lots. Since I met her, I noticed how she oozes style and confidence and infects everyone around her with a playful smile. And she owns her own business. As I got to know her, I learned she is smart, warm and sincere and always stands by her word. We single girls know these are rare traits among single girls who are often so focused on becoming unsingle they shit on everyone else around them at first sight of a potential boyfriend.

This girl did her single years right. And she's starting out her unsingle years right too.

She and her new husband met in January. Then it was one of those in five-months-they-knew-each-was-the-one romances.

And a bachelorette party in another two months. Take a look at Do we ever grow out of bachelorette parties and A girl brought a penis into a bar and guys were scared for all of the juicy bachelorette party details.

The dreamy, secret beach wedding followed a week later. It was just the two of them along with some Bora Bora natives. Tropical island. No stress. Sand between her toes and the love of her life by her side. What more could a girl ask for in her final moments of being single?

And they managed to keep the Bora Bora wedding secret for days until they did a surprise ceremony for immediate family. They thought they were coming to an engagement dinner. Sorry, we're skipping appetizers and having a wedding instead. Okay by you?
Then there was the wedding shower last night on their almost five-week anniversary. Who said mermaids have to follow the any kind of wedding order anyway?

I hope this former single girl the best, and thank her for helping inspire this blog. She inspired single girls along the way of her bachelorettehood, and I'm certain she'll continue to do the same in every stage as they live a happily-ever-after story book life.

Love to the single girls (and mermaids and recently unsingle too!),
Addison
